Blackbird

9th February 2010

IBecause of the very bad weather, we’ve been putting out half apples as food for the fieldfares which would not normally come near a garden. We have had two visit us; I didn’t have the camera to hand either time and the visits were short lived. We did however find that the blackbirds were partial to apple as well – all that gets left is the outer skin!

    We have redwing blackbirds here, and wonderfully clowning black and white magpies.

    Great photos! We get crows here all the time, but no blackbirds. The crows always come around in the morning, making all sorts of NOISE!
