10 things I love starting with the letter ….
30th September 2008
Katya handed me the letter D which gave me problems since I had a lot more than 10!
Here goes though…
1. Daughter – She’d never forgive me if I didn’t say that!
2. Disputation – According to some folk, I’d argue that black was white just for the fun of it.
Obviously I’d have to disagree with that.3. Daybreak – Light after darkness; need anymore be said?
4. Delving – Not the physical exertion in the garden, but the finding out of odd facts (see 11)
5. Ducks – Well birds in general, but I’m beginning to identify and remember the names of several
different types of duck.6. Dogs – Again dogs in general although I’ve a very soft spot for German Shepherds.
7. Daffodils – Along with many other species of flowers, but the glorious display of a crowd
(literary reference) opening after the bleakness of winter is just so uplifting.8. Dancing – Although I’m not very good, I am energetic!
9. Dwelling (here) – This house is getting close to what I want it to be.
10. Driving – The physical act of getting from point A to point B taking in point Z on the way!
Others would of course say I like driving them to distraction!and just for fun…
11. Dzo – I like the word, but I’ll leave you to find out what it means. (see 4)

You make me sound terribly demanding. Harumph.
Oh! I saw some kind of hawk last night on the way home. I walked the back way from the station through the park and there was a small brown bird with black and white flashes on its wings. Too small to scare seagulls or crows, but it terrified all the pigeons

Blooming Wordsworth! (Actually the pun was unintended – I’d have used another adjective beginning with B but I felt this was a polite blog)
