Crinan Canal awakening
29th September 2008
Some more of the better half’s photographs of the Crinan Canal.
On the Tuesday morning the overnight temperature had been a bit chilly, so we had mist over the low lying ground and over the canal which only slowly lifted. My sister-in-law who had stayed with us overnight posted a picture of this as well.

The weather doesn’t look very Scottish!
Lovely pictures – the Better Half should get her own photoblog!

I really love canals. They are so beautiful and even though man-made, they have a certain amazing element to them. Perhaps it is because they are handling such huge volunes of water….quite fascinating, really!
I LOVED Chris’s photo. What a treasure, finding the boat there in the mist! Looks like the ladies are both quite gifted with a terrific eye!!!
These photos just make my heart cry out to see Scotland!!!(even if Jackie tells me how WET it is!! We are currently under quite a wet spell ourselves!!!)

Thanks for the link, BiL!
Our photos are almost identical – do you think DHGF would’ve been proud of us?

Bill, that first picture is amazing! I love it! As you might have seen on my Letter “F” post, I like fog (and mist too), unlike my Mom who is screaming because I said that…
