Ayr

You almost didn’t get a posting today – I’m knackered!
Went out mid-morning to shop for fish – I was cooking tonight and fish pie was on the menu.
Had lunch then carted out a variety of items to take to the Local Amenity Centre – Rubbish recycling to you and me. The guy there is getting to know me quite well as I’m currently clearing out the loft (attic) of the accumulated debris of decades.
Came back and did a concentrated bit of weeding – a task I hate and put off as much as possible with the result that it is 10 times worse when I actually get round to it.
Staggered in and made the fish pie – I’d point out that I have only started doing one meal a week and even then not absolutely every week although I’ve been able to cook since my days in Boy Scouts, so it isn’t really a big deal. (But the fish pie was rather nice!)
Now my wife (and I suspect most married women) do this and more on a very regular basis and don’t moan about it, but then I’m only a poor weak male!!
Here are two photographs (from Monday) of Ayr.
The first was taken from Doonfoot with the big lens and focuses on the spire of the Town Hall. The large block you see is the telephone echange.
The second was taken from the top of the Brown Carrick Hills and shows the town nestled at the edge of Ayr Bay. You’ll notice the clouds are beginning to roll in from the East – more of that later.

Ah!!!What a LUCKY woman your wife is… Before Mark and I were married, he would show off his cooking finesse. He used to make the WORST Chinese dishes. Now I am woodcutter, fixer-upper, head cook and bottle-washer!!!
You certainly did accomplish a great deal, though. WOW!!!
Ilove seeing these photos! They are so beautiful..and since my Scottie boys are from a kennel called Ayr, it is neat to see the place for which the kennel is named.
Wonderful photos!
We are off on a camping excursion, so cell connections are spotty. Will try to get some photos and perhaps a post!
