I actually managed to find some time yesterday for photographing and the weather was fine if a little cold – well the wind was cold anyway!
These were taken from the Car Park on the esplanade at Seafield in Ayr.
This is looking out over the sand towards Arran.
This is the same scene but zoomed in.

I’ve still not managed to find time to photograph, so here are yet more old ones. This time they are from 2004 in Madrid, Spain.

We also took the chance to visit Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius when we were in the area.
This is actually a plaster model of one of the petrified human bodies found during the excavation of the city.
The Basilica.
This is a photo at the top of Mount Vesuvius looking over the crater.

Whilst we were at Pescasseroli, we went on the Bear walk – the symbol of the Abruzzo National Parks is the European Brown Bear.
This started late in the afternoon and climbed up to one of the high ridges to look down and, hopefully, see wild bears below us. We didn’t, but we did see wild boars. We descended in the dark, stumbling as we went. It was actually very enjoyable.

Once again I have to rely on photographs from the past; in this case 2003 when we stayed at Pescasseroli in Abruzzo, Italy.
These two photographs give an indication of some of the terrain up in the centre of Italy.

We were in Glasgow yesterday and these photographs were taken in the Buchanan Galleries. Yes we were having a coffee and a scone and very good they were as well.

These were taken during a Scottish Railway Preservation Society (SRPS) trip from Ayr to Plockton and Kyle of Lochalsh.
The first two were taken from Plockton, one over Loch Carron and the other towards the hills of Skye.
The third was taken just before we passed Achnasheen on the way back and shows Liathach and Beinn Eighe in the distance.

I’ve run out of local photos at the moment and the weather isn’t really conducive to taking any, so here’s one I took in July 2001 in Andorra at Tristiania Lake.
