Greenan Direction
6th February 2009
Last Sunday wasn’t a bad day so we went for a walk along the old Ayr to Turnberry railway line (turned into a walking/cycling track for part of it’s length) and thence down to the Greenan Shore.
The first photograph is a long shot of the Heads of Ayr, a cliff face overlooking the south end of Ayr Bay.
The second is of a large house called High Greenan House. I looked for information on this building. I think, though I stand to be corrected, that it was at one time High Greenan Farm which was destroyed by fire. Whether any of the original building has been incorporated into this one is unknown.
